North Bruins hang big win to start Day 3.

FOXBORO – The final day of preliminary round play at the 2023 Chowder Cup got underway Saturday morning and the North Bruins got it started in fine fashion when they kicked off the day’s slate of games with a 10-5 victory over Roc City Elite (White) at the Foxboro Sports Center.

North pulled away in the end, but the two sides were tight through an explosive first period that saw the two sides combine for nine goals. The Bruins escaped the frame with a 5-4 advantage.

While the Roc City offense cooled in the second, North’s remained hot. They posted another five scores to Roc City’s one in solidifying their 10-5 victory.

Seven Bruins finished the game with multiple entries on the scoresheet. Denimes Mosler-Plata lead the way with a game-high four points (4A). He was followed by James Paul (1G, 2A), Amar Beganovic (2G), Nate Rose (2G), Mars Sun (1G, 1A), Dylan Doorey (1G, 1A) and Joseph Zoldos (2A).

William Martin paced the Roc City offense with three goals, seconded by Yianni Tsatsoulis’ two assists.
