Coaches Choice defeats QJHA, 4-2.

FOXBORO – Coaches Choice (Teal) posted their third College Open win of the 2023 Chowder Cup on Saturday morning. They defeated QJHA (White) 4-2 at the Foxboro Sports Center.

Much of the game’s scoring action came in the first. The excitement stared early and it did not take long for Coaches Choice to build themselves a 2-0 lead on goals from Jacob Reese and Connor Corcoran.

QJHA rallied to tie it 2-2 on goals from Olivier Bolduc and Luca Pileggi, but Brodie Donavan had Coaches Choice back out front with just over seven minutes to play in the frame. The score remained 3-2 through the half.

There was just one score to be had when the teams returned to the ice for the second half. It was another goal for Reese, giving Coaches Choice the insurance and the 4-2 victory.

Goaltender Colin Logan was credited with his second win of the tournament.
