BRIDGEWATER – On Day 2 of the 2022 Sr. Chowder Cup, Mole HC played their first game of the tournament on Friday afternoon at the Bridgewater Ice Arena. There they defeated the Salt City Prospects by a margin of 3-1.
Mole took charge in the first, netting two goals in the frame while goaltender Garrett Alderman kept Salt City off the board, thwarting every bid that came is his way in the opening 25 minutes.
Ryan Concannon extended the Mole lead to 3-0 with his second of the game early in the second. Alderman finally yielded near the midpoint, letting one in and putting Salt City on the board at 3-1.
The Alex Cassivi goal, however, was the only blemish on Alderman’s record in the contest, the backstop shutting everything else down the rest of the way to post the 3-1 victory.
