Attleboro, Mass. — Mobile Hockey (Currier) CO weathered an early surge from BGP Royal Gold before pulling away for a 6-4 win on Friday.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
BGP Royal Gold came out firing, as Burke Jennette (#26) opened the scoring just 1:07 into the game off an assist from Sean Harrington (#93). Less than two minutes later, Jayden Lin (#19) doubled the advantage with help from Nate Morin (#34) to make it 2-0.
Mobile Hockey (Currier) CO quickly turned the momentum. Owen Cloney (#10) got his team on the board at 4:44 before Jack Pimental (#14) evened the score at 8:15. Kody Pokraka (#13) gave Mobile Hockey its first lead of the day at 12:04, but Daniel Palomino (#22) answered for BGP Royal Gold late in the period off another assist from Harrington (#93). Just 34 seconds later, Pimental (#14) struck again, converting a pass from Jaxen Meads (#15) to send Mobile Hockey into the intermission with a 5-3 lead.
Pimental wasn’t finished. He completed his four-goal performance at 8:09 of the second period, finishing a feed from Cole Tapper (#18) to stretch the lead to three. Aidan Fernandes (#45) scored for BGP Royal Gold with 5:19 remaining, but Mobile Hockey (Currier) CO kept the visitors from getting any closer to secure the 6-4 victory.
