FOXBORO – FCA Hockey left little doubt when closing out their preliminary round in the 2024 Chowder Cup’s Elite division a perfect 3-0-0. They did so with a 7-0 route of Aces Hockey Group on Saturday evening at the Foxboro Sports Center.
It took some time for the FCA offensive train to get rolling in the first, but once Jack Ammons got things going with his third goal of the tournament at 14:10 of the period, they became a freight that was hard to stop.
Ammons’ goal was the first of five in the opening half. The damage was done, but FCA still put away two more in the second to set things at their 7-0 final.
FCA’s seven goals came from six different goal scorers, Matteo Pero leading the way with two goals and an assist. Tanner Hunt (1G, 1A), Parker Deschene (1G, 1A) and Bronson Hunt (2A) also had multiple points in the victory.
CJ Sehlke was credited with the shutout in the FCA net.
