FOXBORO – In what was shaping up to be their final game at the 2021 Sr. Chowder Cup, Top Shelf made for a fine swan song as they ran away from All American Prospects in the second half for a 6-3 victory at Foxboro Sports Center.
Things were tight through the first, both sides coming away with a pair of scores for the 2-2 draw, but coming out of the break Top Shelf got rolling.
Ned Blanchard netted a pair to start the assault and make it 4-2. Rory Andriole, credited with both Top Shelf scores in the first, then completed his hat trick. A shorthanded score by Noah Melanson all but sealed it, making the score 6-2,
Peter Unger did net his second of the game for Prospects in the closing minutes, but there was no comeback to be had.
