Generals Jr. A improve to 2-0

WALPOLE – It has been two up and two down for the Boston Generals Jr. A as they posted their second victory of the 2014 Chowder Cup on Saturday morning, defeating SLR 6-2 at Rodman Arena.

The first lead of the game went to SLR, who went up 1-0 on a Joe O’Connor goal at 6:37, but as it approached the midway point of the first half, things got away from them quickly as the Generals went from trailing to having a healthy advantage in just a matter of minutes.

Eric Carreras scored Boston’s first goal at 12:32, starting a run of three in the span of 2:43 that gave the Generals a 3-1 lead that lasted until halftime.

Boston put away another three unanswered in the second, getting goals from Joe Scorpio, Matt Wikman and Brendyn Smith to put the game away before SLR bookended the game’s scoring, Charlie Zuccarini with the game’s final goal at 21:19.
