2023 Sr. Chowder Cup underway as Top Speed takes down Prestige.

CANTON – New England Pro-Am Hockey’s Senior Chowder Cup returned to the ice on Thursday morning. Top Speed Hockey kicked off the 2023 edition’s slate of games with a 7-2 victory over Prestige Placement in Jr. A Division play at the Canton Ice House.

Top Speed got it going early in the first as they raced out to a 3-0 halftime lead. Landon Foote, Oliver Czaja and Jakob Flygt provided the goals, while netminder Blake Craven kept everything out of the Top Speed net to give their side the early cushion.

Prestige got on the board second with goals from Landon Fraser and Lorik Tremblay, but Top Speed forwards Andrew Morton and Melvin Blomberg both matched that goal total. Each scored a pair for four Top Speed goals in the second, finalizing the 7-2 victory.

Blomberg also had an assist to his credit for a game-high three points (2G, 1A).
