FOXBORO – Valor Hockey Group (Red) scored a thrilling, come-from-behind victory on Saturday at the Foxboro Sports Center. They rallied in the second to overtake 5B Selects 7-5 in Jr. A Elite division play at the 2025 Sr. Chowder Cup.
The Selects took control early, Ben Lees potting the game’s first goal just minute in. It was the first of three straight for 5B.
Only seconds remained in the first half when the tide began to turn. Ryan Zobeidat put the eventual victors on the board with just 33 ticks left before the break.
It kicked off a run of three straight of their own for Valor, getting the game back to even 3-3. The Selects stemmed the bleeding on an Oliver Czaja power play goal.
Near mid-second half, Valor went on a run. Divyne Apollon, Lucas Ashton, Finn Feeney and then Feeney again scored back to back to back to put Valor in the lead for good.
The Selects Matt Dabrowski rounded out the 7-5 final with a goal with just 24-seconds remaining in the contest.
Fenney led the contest in scoring, credited with two goals and an assist. Teammates Ashton (1G, 1A), Quinn Simmons (1G, 1A) and Joey Dellacroce (2A) each also had multi-point games.
Emmit Rice (1G, 1A), Will Schlectweg (1G, 1A) and Tal Stevenson (2A) all had multi-point showing for 5B.
