FOXBORO – The Quebec Prospects closed out their preliminary round, Elite bracket slate at the 2023 Chowder Cup with a win on Saturday afternoon. They defeated Little Rhody/DMV (White) 6-3 at the Foxboro Sports Center.
Quebec jumped on Rhody at the start in their quest for victory, getting out to a 3-1 lead they took into the halftime break. Elliot Groenewold, Mathieu Fillion and Keanu Krenn with the goals for Quebec, Ryan Deschamps scoring for Little Rhody.
It was a lead they did not give back as Quebec continued their assault into the second, putting away another three in the latter frame. Little Rhody did not go away, putting up a pair of their own in the second, but they did not have enough to catch their foes. The game went to Quebec by a 6-3 margin.
Krenn and Anthony Campbell each had a pair of goals in the win for Quebec.
Ethan Cordeiro matched with a pair of goals for Little Rhody.
