ATTLEBORO – MOLE HC corralled the Buffalo Stampede when the two teams met at the New England Sports Village on Saturday afternoon at the 2023 Chowder Cup. They took home the Jr. A division win by an 8-4 margin.
It was a strong start for MOLE that paced the victory. They put forth an offensive attack that saw them close the game’s opening 25-minutes with a 5-1 lead.
The teams went on to play an even 3-3 second half, but the damage had already been done. MOLE closed out the comfortable 8-4 victory.
Chris Stevens led the MOLE offense with two goals and two assists. Logan Lambrecht (2G, 1A), Jules Butler (2G, 1A), Tyler Detreux (1G, 2A) and Tanner Cole (1G, 2A) each had a three-point showing for the victors.
Evan Smith, Gavin Russell, Eric Toth and Cameron Coogan each had a goal for Buffalo. Will Sahlem credited with two assists.
