Boston Knights beat Prestige Hockey 4-1.

CANTON – With Day 2 of the opening round of the 2022 Sr. Chowder Cup drawing to a close, the Boston Knights took to the ice for their first game of the tournament and then took down their first win of the tournament in defeating Prestige Hockey Placement 4-1 at the Canton Ice House.

Most of the game’s scoring came in the first half. Peter Grace broke the game’s scoring seal to put the Knights up 1-0 as the midpoint of the opening frame approached. Felix Gagnon had Prestige back to even just over a minute later, but goals from Eddie McDevitt and Will McLean late in the frame had the Knights up 3-1 at the break.

McLean netted another in the opening minutes of the second half, but that was the end of the game’s scoring with the Knights leading 4-1. Netminder Shea Stewart of Prestige Hockey and Boston counterpart Owen Giangrande locking things down in their respective goal creases for the majority of the second half.
