CANTON – With the opening day of play at the 2022 Sr. Chowder Cup drawing to a close, Tribe Red defeated Coastal Elite 3-2 in Jr. A play at the Canton Ice House on Thursday.
Trailing 2-0 late in the first, Nik Vasilijevs scored in the closing minute of the opening frame to get Tribe on the board. Gavin Glaublitz tied the game just past the midpoint of the second half before Luke Jordan tucked away the game winner, the Tribe once again scoring in the final minute of the period to secure the 3-2 win.
Mike Caparco and Mark Andre were the credited goal scorers for Coastal Elite. Jake Williams went down as the winning netminder for the Tribe.
