FOXBORO – New England Pro-Am Hockey’s Senior Chowder Cup returned to the ice on Thursday morning. CCHG kicked off the 2022 edition’s slate of games with a 5-1 victory over the South Shore Kings in Jr. A Division play at the Foxboro Sports Center.
CCHG got it going early in the first with a score in the opening minutes and did not look back as they rolled to a 3-1 halftime lead. That two-goal advantage over the Kings doubled to four as CCHG powered through the game’s second half with another pair of goals to bring things to their 5-1 final.
With two goals and an assist, CCHG’s Duke Boccardi finished as the game’s leading scorer, aided by teammate Carter Bowne’s goal and assist. They were the game’s only multi-point scorers.
Brady Butler was credited with the lone South Shore goal.
