Tampa hits stride in second for 6-4 victory.

BRAINTREE – Tampa Bay EDP took to the ice at Thayer Academy on Friday afternoon and they defeated the Northern Vermont Wildcats 6-4 in College Open play at the 2021 Sr. Chowder Cup.

After trailing 2-0 early, Tampa begin their assault later in the first half. It was goals by Jaxson Anderson and Michael Romeo that get the score back to an even 2-2 tie at the break.

The Wildcats doubled their scoring output in the second half, but Tampa matched that total in the second half alone. Payton Jenkins, Josh Weinstein, Jacob Lloren and Matthew Speciale all credited with a score in the second to solidify the 6-4, Tampa victory.

Nate Mastrony and Collin Driscoll led the Wildcats and the game in scoring, each credited with two goals and an assist. Netminder Heath Chancey was credited with the win for Tampa.
