BRAINTREE – The Valley Jr. Warriors (Blue) notched a Jr. A win on Saturday morning when they defeated Power Play Hockey 6-1 at the Thayer Sports Center.
Valley got things going early on a goal from Quannah Morrisson and pushed their lead to 2-0 on a goal from Adam Ellegood near the middle of the first half. That is where the score remained until the intermission.
Power Play did get on the board in the second, but it was a mere blip on the radar amongst the four goals the Warriors had to score in the frame. Valley’s offense really taking off in the second to put the game away and solidify the 6-1 victory.
Morrisson scored again, while Owen Walsh, Cooper Jocelyn and Andrew Duval contributed the Warriors other second half goals.
Goaltender Jake Davies got credit for the win in Valley’s net.
