Walpole, Mass. — Universel Prospects struck early in both periods and made the slim advantage stand, edging Springfield CO 2-1 on Friday at Cadillac Arena.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
Universel Prospects wasted little time getting on the board as Ozbej Slabe (#14) scored just 1:32 into the opening period to give his team an early 1-0 lead.
Springfield CO answered late in the period when Kyle Malecki (#7) found the back of the net at 21:21 off an assist from Donald Percy (#4), sending the teams into the intermission tied at one.
Universel Prospects reclaimed the lead early in the second period as Zac Paradis (#34) scored at 4:07 with an assist from Charles-Etienne Normandin (#55). Springfield CO pushed for another equalizer, but Universel Prospects held firm over the remainder of the game to secure the 2-1 victory.
