Foxborough, Mass. — Team North America built a two-goal cushion in the second period, then withstood a late push from Inside Edge Advisory Grey to earn a 3-2 victory in Senior Chowder Cup action on Saturday.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
After a scoreless opening stretch, Dax Kenney (#15) broke through late in the first period to give Team North America a 1-0 lead heading into the intermission.
Early in the second, Team North America capitalized on the power play as Talon Beyer (#19) doubled the advantage. A few minutes later, Beyer (#19) struck again to make it 3-0 and put Team North America firmly in control.
Inside Edge Advisory Grey answered midway through the period when Jalen Nurse (#10) converted on the power play to cut the deficit to two. Later in the frame, Corbin Vierkoetter (#17) added another goal to bring Inside Edge Advisory Grey within one.
Despite the late momentum swing, Team North America held on over the closing minutes to secure the 3-2 win.
