FOXBORO – Fueled by an offensive second half, Grand Central Sports took home the Jr. A division win on Friday morning at the Foxboro Sports Center when they defeated Team North America (White) 6-2.
It was a tightly contested first half. Behind the play of Grand Central netmidner Cody McCabe and Team North America counterpart Tyson Wilcox, goals were at a premium and the game went to the halftime intermission tied 1-1.
Team North America doubled their goal total in the second with an Alex Duguay score, but Grand Central did much more. Their offense exploded for five in the later frame to put the game away and secure the victory. Nate Boeckle, Bryson Walz, Joey Roselli, Quinn Metzger and Nathan Cucinotta each credited with a goal to finalize the 6-2 win.
Walz (2G) and Luca Hobbs (2A) each had two points in leading the Grand Central offense.
Caleb Dawson (1G, 1A) was credited with a multipoint contest for Team North America.
