Foxborough, Mass. — Reider Hockey Jr. capitalized on their opportunities and added two more goals in the second period to pull away for a 4-1 victory over SS Kings (Azevedo) on Saturday at Foxboro Rink 1.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
Reider Hockey Jr. opened the scoring midway through the first period when Nick Smith (#91) converted a power-play opportunity at 14:55.
Later in the period, Ben Craddock (#94) doubled the advantage at 23:39 to send Reider Hockey Jr. into the intermission with a 2-0 lead.
Reider Hockey Jr. continued to build its cushion early in the second as Jeff Collett (#37) scored at 6:58 off an assist from Peyton Howard (#29) to make it 3-0.
SS Kings (Azevedo) broke through at 12:21 when Jake Mulkhern (#22) found the back of the net to trim the deficit to two.
Reider Hockey Jr. answered before the final horn as Charlie Wingerter (#28) scored on the power play at 18:44 to restore the three-goal margin and seal the 4-1 victory.
