ATTLEBORO – As with most games to be played on the final day of pool play at the 2022 Sr. Chowder Cup, there were heavy implications on which side would advance when QHJA and NOTL Arsenal met at the New England Sports Village. Both teams needing to victory to keep advancement hopes alive, QJHA seized it with a 4-0 victory.
It was described as a “nail biter” of a first half as the two sides played scoreless hockey. Back-and-forth as it was, goaltenders Adam Lecours (QJHA) and Mackie Donner (Arsenal) credited with stopping everything that came their way.
QJHA’s offense came alive in the second, striking four times while Lecours remained stout in net at the other end. Evan Cuddihy, Guillaume Perron-Nantel, Esteban Mercier and Volodymyr Kosov each credited with a score in posting the QJHA 4-0 victory.
