BRAINTREE – One the ice over at Thayer Academy, Puck Stop Blades and the Valley Jr. Warriors skated themselves to a 2-2 tie on Saturday morning in Jr. A division play.
It was a back-and-forth contest throughout, Valley finding themselves in the lead, but Puck Stop never letting them get far away.
Ryan Pappalardo scored in the opening minutes of the first half to give Valley their first lead of the game at 1-0. Sean Murphy then scored just before the midpoint of the frame to get Puck Stop back to even at 1-1.
Scoring then stayed quiet until just past the midpoint of the second when it was Pappalardo coming through again for the Warriors to make it 2-1. Puck Stop still had an answer. Nate Vansaun coming through with just over five minutes to play to round out the score at its 2-2 final.
