Walpole, Mass. — After falling behind by three goals in the opening period, NYD mounted a second-period comeback, scoring three unanswered goals to skate away with a 3-3 tie against Springfield Jr. on Thursday in Senior Chowder Cup action.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
Springfield Jr. controlled the first period, building a 3-0 advantage behind goals from Tyler Chartier (#9) at 13:38, Jack Rodman (#7) at 18:25, and Adriano Lisio (#4) at 20:24. Ryan Netkovick (#10) picked up the lone assist on Lisio’s goal as Springfield carried all of the momentum into the intermission.
NYD flipped the script after the break. Matt Percsi (#3) got his team on the board at 4:54 off an assist from Timothy Barcomb (#14) before Ryan Campbell (#15) cut the deficit to one just over two minutes later with help from Luce Habl (#22).
The equalizer came midway through the period when Damien Beuter (#2) finished a scoring chance at 13:38. Ashhtyn Catlin (#4) and Habl (#22) were credited with the assists as NYD completed the three-goal comeback and secured a 3-3 draw.
