Foxborough, Mass. — Monchester Odios erased a two-goal deficit and closed the game with five consecutive goals to defeat Mountain Goats Elite, 9-6, on Saturday.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
Mountain Goats Elite struck first when Will Schlechtweg (#13) scored off assists from Ben Dias (#9) and Cameron Wolf (#2). Monchester Odios answered with back-to-back goals from Jack Broderick (#65), who first converted a pass from Dante Rodriguez (#44) before finishing another setup by Sam Silver (#3) to put his team in front.
Mountain Goats Elite quickly regained momentum. Dias (#9) tied the game with help from Anthony Pomarico (#4) before Ronnie Hill (#7) gave his team the lead on an assist from Nhan Boebel (#11). Schlechtweg (#13) added a power-play goal assisted by Dias (#9) to stretch the advantage to 5-2.
Monchester Odios trimmed the deficit before intermission when Marko Lisica (#0) scored off passes from Anthony Pedalino (#29) and Silver (#3), but Mountain Goats Elite carried a 5-3 lead into the break after Schlechtweg (#13) completed his hat trick later in the period.
Monchester Odios wasted little time climbing back in the second as Lisica (#0) scored again with an assist from Indiana Grossbard (#7). After Liam Frier (#8) restored Mountain Goats Elite’s two-goal lead off a pass from Dominik White (#10), the momentum shifted for good.
Grossbard (#7) started the comeback with a goal assisted by Ace Bond (#98) before adding another tally to even the score. Rodriguez (#44) then put Monchester Odios in front, Broderick (#65) completed his hat trick off an assist from Rodriguez (#44), and Nicholas Mule (#99) added the final goal as Monchester Odios capped a five-goal run to secure the 9-6 victory.
