Foxborough, Mass. — It looked as though one first-period goal might be enough, but Boston Jr. Terriers found the equalizer in the closing seconds of the opening frame as they battled US Express Elite Blue to a 1-1 draw Friday at Foxboro Rink 3.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
US Express Elite Blue broke through first when Matteo Russo (#14) scored at the 10:00 mark of the opening period to put his team in front.
The lead held for nearly the remainder of the period before Boston Jr. Terriers answered with just 23 seconds left before intermission. David Aron (#4) found the back of the net at 19:37 to even the score at 1-1.
Neither side was able to generate another breakthrough in the second period as both defenses held firm, sending the teams to a 1-1 draw.
