Jr. Blues with big win over RSG.

FOXBORO – The Boston Jr. Blues took it to RSG to secure the win in their third and final game of the opening round of the 2022 Sr. Chowder Cup. It was a 7-3 victory on Saturday afternoon at the Foxboro Sports Center.

Boston got it going pretty early to jump all over RSG. A goal by Owen Carlile made it 1-0 in the game’s sixth minute. It was a lead that grew to 3-0 on goals from Brennan Cail and Michael Gallary as the first went on.

A goal by Johnathan Hutorsky broke up the Blues rally and put RSG on the board. The two sides traded shots throughout the remainder of the first to send the game to the break with the Blues leading 4-2.

Boston began to pull away in the second on the second goal of the game by both Carlile and Alex Kenerson, who had scored late in the first for the Blues.

Michael Deprisco scored his second of the game for RSG to cut his side’s deficit to 6-3, but a goal by Maddox Lizzotte put an end to any sort of threatened rally and gave the Blues their 7-3 win.
