Ice Kings Jr. Scores Four in Second Period to Beat Carolina Selects Jr., 4-2

Foxborough, Mass. — Ice Kings Jr. turned a one-goal halftime deficit into a 4-2 victory over Carolina Selects Jr. with a dominant second-period performance on Thursday afternoon.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:

Carolina Selects Jr. struck first when Owen Vachon (#29) scored just 1:56 into the opening period. The Selects carried the 1-0 lead through the remainder of the frame despite Ice Kings Jr. creating several scoring chances.

The momentum shifted after intermission as Cole Blanchet (#94) tied the game just 2:02 into the second period before giving Ice Kings Jr. their first lead with his second goal of the afternoon at 12:35. Aizyk Laliberte (#26) added to the advantage less than three minutes later, and Dane Svingen-Jones (#18) capped the four-goal outburst at 18:41 off an assist from Blanchet (#94).

Carolina Selects Jr. continued to battle until the final minutes, with Samuel Soto (#22) finding the back of the net late in the second period. Ice Kings Jr. remained in control the rest of the way, closing out the 4-2 victory.
