Four-goal second puts Little Flyers over CHE.

FOXBORO – The Philadelphia Little Flyers closed out their preliminary round schedule at the 2018 Sr. Chowder Cup in fine fashion. The used a four-goal second half to get past CHE White 7-4 on Saturday afternoon at the Foxboro Sports Center.

Offensive fireworks were on display in the first half as the two sides combined for six goals in the opening 25-minutes, all of which resulted in a 3-3 tie heading into the locker room.

Coming back onto the ice, one team’s offense seemingly continued to improve, while the other’s seemed to slow. Brett Turner scored at 7:11 to give the Flyers their first lead of the contest, 4-3.

Brendan Reid had the game back to even with his goal for CHE at 10:58, but it was the last time his team found the scoring column. The Flyers’ offense, on the other hand, still had business to conduct.

Anthony Starzi had Philadelphia back in front at 12:57. Kyle Scott added the insurance goal three minutes later. Kevin Brown then had the dagger just nine-seconds after that at 16:06 to finalize the 7-4 win. All seven Little Flyers’ goals came from a different player.

Turner had two assists to go with his goal for a three-point showing that led all scorers in the game. Starzi (1G, 1A) and Jake Fuss (2A) also had multiple point outings for Philadelphia.

Stephan Sizov led the CHE offense with a pair of goals scored.
