Foxborough, Mass. — FCA Hockey CO fended off multiple comeback attempts on the way to a 5-3 victory over Between The Bucket Pink on Saturday in Senior Chowder Cup action.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
FCA Hockey CO struck first on a power play when Holden Wagner (#7) converted a feed from Zeke Kluegg (#20) and Gabe Levowitz (#15). Wagner (#7) added his second goal later in the opening period with help from Elijah Luke (#19) to give FCA Hockey CO a 2-0 advantage.
Between The Bucket Pink cut the deficit to one before the first intermission as Timothy Riche (#35) finished a setup from Jake Falevich (#18).
FCA Hockey CO regained control early in the second period when Wagner (#7) completed a hat trick with a shorthanded goal. Between The Bucket Pink answered through Sami Wiriyotin (#17), assisted by Falevich (#18), but FCA Hockey CO responded once again as Preston Handy (#5) restored the two-goal cushion with help from Levowitz (#15).
Riche (#35) scored his second goal of the afternoon off an assist from Aidan Connor (#44) to keep Between The Bucket Pink within striking distance, but Kluegg (#20) sealed the win with a goal in the closing moments, giving FCA Hockey CO a 5-3 victory.
