Attleboro, Mass. — After falling behind early, Eels Jr. scored four straight goals in the first period and went on to defeat Performance Hockey Group Jr. 5-2 on Friday afternoon.

Performance Hockey Group Jr. grabbed the early lead when Gavin Peters (#85) scored at 4:35.
Eels Jr. answered with a dominant stretch before the first intermission. Dylan Woodward (#5) tied the game at 8:59, Cooper Martineau (#18) put Eels Jr. in front at 14:02, and John Bergstrasser (#11) added another at 17:41. Just 27 seconds later, Josh Shaganya (#42) found the back of the net to cap a four-goal first period and give Eels Jr. a 4-1 advantage.
Eels Jr. continued to build on their lead in the second period as Fred Cybulskie (#6) scored just 58 seconds into the frame off an assist from Bryce Tisi (#19), extending the margin to four. Performance Hockey Group Jr. got one back late when Ryan Mandeville (#84) scored at 18:33 with an assist from Pavel Dhatt (#91), but Eels Jr. comfortably closed out the 5-2 victory.
