Coast Elite Purple Battles Back to Finish Even with Jimbo Selects, 4-4

Walpole, Mass. — Momentum swung back and forth throughout Friday’s matchup as Coast Elite Purple battled back from a two-goal deficit, but Jimbo Selects answered every challenge to finish with a 4-4 tie at Cadillac Arena.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:

Jimbo Selects wasted little time getting on the board, as Max Niebauer (#21) opened the scoring at the 4:00 mark off an assist from Kelvin Hood (#13). Coast Elite Purple responded later in the period when Zach Gilroy (#93) buried a power-play goal at 11:04, finishing a setup from Wilson Wang (#2) to send the teams into the first intermission deadlocked at 1-1.

Jimbo Selects regained control early in the second period. Chandler Moore (#9) restored the lead at 5:14 off a feed from Ethan Palso (#72) before Palso (#72) added a goal of his own at 11:13 with Moore (#9) collecting the assist. Just over three minutes later, Burke Crowell (#17) converted on the power play with help from Cole Hoskinson (#26) to stretch the advantage to 4-1.

Coast Elite Purple refused to go away. Wilson Wang (#2) sparked the comeback at 16:26 with assists from Camden Saltmarsh (#9) and Kieran Burns (#8). Gilroy (#93) struck again at 20:28 before completing the hat trick on a power play at 22:51, converting passes from Saltmarsh (#9) and Ethan Leitten (#20) to pull Coast Elite Purple even at 4-4.

The teams combined for eight goals, 71 shots, and 15 penalties in an entertaining, back-and-forth contest that ended with each side earning a point.
