ATTLEBORO – Arsenal Hockey closed out their preliminary slate at the 2024 Chowder Cup with a victory on Saturday afternoon. They shutout Gotta Hockey 3-0 at New England Sports Village.
The game was tightly contested as the first half started and ended scoreless. Arsenal netminder Evan Akerman and Gotta Hockey’s Sean Velozo shutting down the game’s scoresheet through the opening 25 minutes.
It was not until 9:07 of the second that either team was able to break into the scoring column. Arsenal’s Hunter Coley broke the seal and then did so again at 17:52 to make it 2-0.
Seth Huygen closed out the scoring and the 3-0 final with a goal at 21:42 of the second.
